Ponchos are a beloved way to hide the parts of the body which we'd rather not reveal. They can be worn on or off the shoulders, or on one shoulder. They can be worn in the winter as a coat, or in the summer as an extra layer over a t-shirt, tank-top, or bikini. They can be worn over a t-shirt and jeans for a casual look, or with a skirt or evening dress for a more sophisticate look. Ponchos are being commercially produced and sold in fashion stores. There are also a lot of poncho patterns ready in books or the internet for crocheting, knitting, or sewing. Anyone can make these ponchos, whether you're a beginner or on a more developed skill level. There are patterns for everyone's skill level, and designs for everyone's liking.
